About the Topic:

 

Why has ISO 9001:2015 made such a large impact on Organizations?

9001:2015 was the first major change to the ISO 9001 international quality standards since 2000. It increased emphasis on intended outcomes and customer focus while de-emphasizing prescriptive requirements and documented procedures. It also increased leadership requirements, introduced risk based thinking, and required a focus on an organization's internal and external environments. This presentation will review what is new and different and how it has impacted organizations as well as other industry specific quality standards (i.e. automotive, medical products, aerospace, etc.)

About the Speaker:

Bob Deysher - Quality Support Group

 

Bob has over 40 years of manufacturing experience in the semiconductor industry (Western Electric, Digital Equipment and Intel Corporations). In that time, he has held senior management positions in industrial engineering, process engineering, package assembly, manufacturing, quality, and reliability. He has also worked as a senior staff member and consulting engineer in quality and reliability in between managerial assignments. Bob’s areas of training and consulting expertise include ISO 9001 & AS9100, Toyota Production System (TPS) and Lean, Corrective Action and Problem Solving (8D), clean room consulting, semiconductor fabrication, packaging, and test, semiconductor reliability physics, and new product and process introduction into manufacturing. Bob is Quality Support Group’s Lead for the ISO 9001:2015 Revision. Bob has a B.S. and M.S. in Metallurgy and Material Science from Lehigh University.
